The kids are participating in a swimming / P.E. class for the local homeschool group. This is a first for Spiderman and he has become much more comfortable in the "big pool" since summertime. He loves the water but prefers something where he can touch the bottom. Thankfully he is in the same class with Boo and another young boy from church so he isn't "too shy" to participate (we signed him up for fall soccer and he wouldn't step on the field, even at practice).
Goose is a natural in the water and is having fun showing off for her teachers and making new friends with the girls in her class. She's only disappointed that this pool doesn't have a diving board.
Jaybird is in the same class as Goose and what he lacks a bit in grace, he makes up for with gusto! I hate to admit that he seems to be having way too much fun teasing the girls. Oh boy, life is going to get more complicated in the next few years!
Boo would be swimming with the big kids if she could only touch the bottom of the pool. As it is she has to stand on the underwater "dock" with her peers until she gains quite a few more inches of height.
OK, this is for all of you who are watching for glimpses of Hope. :) While we do sometimes think of her as a big sister, Hope is not "technically" in the family. Here she is with one of her best buddies.
